Beim Studiengang Molecular Biology, Master´s Programme an der University of Gothenburg handelt es sich um einen Studiengang mit dem Abschluss Master's of Science
Die Sachgebiete des Studiengangs sind Biologie, Mikrobiologie und Molekularbiologie.
Die Regelstudienzeit beträgt 4 Semester. Ein Semester sind 6 Monate. Somit dauert das Studium in der Regel 24 Monate.
Die Vorlesungen, Seminare oder Kurse finden hauptsächlich in Englisch statt.

Selection: Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 165 credits.

The Master’s Programme in Molecular Biology will give you the knowledge, skills, and experience to start a scientific career.
You will learn about
• cell and molecular biology in the context of human health, evolutionary biology, fundamental research, drug development, advanced bioinformatics, neurobiology, and other fascinating areas.
• the latest research in each course topic, ranging from gene editing techniques to antibiotic resistance and genome-wide analyses, and from forward genetics in model organisms to human physiology, drug discovery, and evolutionary genomics.
The programme consists of elective courses in your field such as molecular biology, genetics, molecular microbiology or neurobiology. You can also choose to broaden your knowledge by adding other natural science subjects or any other subject taught at the university to your curriculum. This enables you to create a unique scientific profile / interdisciplinary degree, letting you stand out on the job market.
At the end of your studies, you will perform an individual laboratory-based project work of up to one year in one of our top research groups.
Teaching contains many elements of problem-based learning. You will actively participate in discussions, gaining deeper knowledge and becoming proficient at analysing and thinking scientifically. You will also develop other important transferable skills such as accuracy, analytical thinking, and communication, preparing you to meet challenges in your future career.
