UL’s great campus facilities and interesting optional subjects drew me to study here. The teachers are kind and supportive, and campus life is always lively with events, sports, and travel opportunities. Everyone is welcoming and open‑minded, making it easy to meet people and ask questions. I also love Ireland’s stunning cliffs, green landscapes, and all the hiking opportunities, as well as the great local products at places like the Limerick Milk Market.

Eleni Maria Chatzipetrou – MSc in Marketing, Consumption and Society
I chose UL because this master’s program takes a unique, society‑focused approach to marketing that really excited me. Limerick offered the perfect balance: not a hectic city, but lively enough for student life. The campus and surrounding nature exceeded my expectations. I love the many activities, clubs, and inclusive events celebrating different cultures. People here are friendly, and Ireland’s support for local farmers and labelled Irish products really impressed me.

I chose UL because it’s known as Ireland’s sports campus, making it ideal for my MSc in Sports Performance. I love that there are so many ways to get involved with the community, the student ambassador program, social events, and of course, the campus is beautiful! I like the landscapes and nature in Ireland, it's an interesting culture with a lot to explore, and most of the people I've come across are very friendly.

Der überwiegende Teil der Hochschulen wird durch die öffentliche Hand (Bund und Länder) finanziert und befindet sich daher in staatlicher Trägerschaft. Dort fallen nur geringe Semesterbeiträge an. An den privaten Hochschulen hingegen, die sich über private Trägerschaften finanzieren, können zusätzlich Studiengebühren anfallen. Einen Weg, die finanziellen Hürden dieser Hochschulen zu umgehen, können zum Beispiel Stipendien darstellen.
